**2014 SPLOST SURVEY** The Griffin-Spalding County 2014 SPLOST survey is now available for the public to express their priorities. Spalding County and the City of Griffin have joined forces in creating a 2014 SPLOST survey giving the citizens a voice in the projects they would like to see included in the 2014 SPLOST to be considered on the November ballot. The 2014 SPLOST should raise an estimated $48 million within Spalding County. The projects for consideration total more than $106 million. We are asking the citizens of unincorporated Spalding County and the cities of Griffin, Sunny Side and Orchard Hill to review the proposed projects and complete the survey. A 2014 Project Information Sheet has been included as part of the survey, you simply click the link at the top of the survey page and the Project Information Sheet will open so that you can review the projects and the projected cost for each item. The 2014 SPLOST survey can be accessed through the Spalding County website (spaldingcounty) and through the City of Griffin website (cityofgriffin/splost.aspx). Once you submit your request, an email will be sent to you asking that you confirm your subscription, if you do not receive this email, your survey results were not received. Hard copies of the 2014 SPLOST Survey will be available at the Senior Center, the Flint River Regional Library, the Courthouse Annex (Room 104) and Griffin City Hall Customer Service beginning May 1, 2014. The survey must be completed and returned by May 30th, 2014 to any of these locations. The results will be tabulated and included as part the final SPLOST results.
