A Tribute To My Sister Annie E. Ndoko The Ndoko Family is today (as has been everyday), remembering our Sister, Annie Ndoko, who died on Wednesday August 12th 2009. We used to simply call her Mama Annie. We remember today not only in our desire to pay our respects to Mama Annie, but rather in our need to do so. Mama Annie was the very essence of compassion, style, and of beauty. Within the family and amongst friends, she was known for her generosity and as someone who cared deeply about the happiness and well-being of everyone. Mama Annie was someone with a natural humility, and ability to adapt into any society. Thank you Mama Annie for the way you brightened our lives, even though God granted you such a short life. We all feel cheated in a way that you were taken from us at such a young age, but, we are grateful for the time that God allowed us to be together. Only now that you are gone do we truly appreciate what you were to us. Mama Annie, life without you has been very difficult. Mama Annie’s greatest gift was her intuition, and it was a gift she used wisely. For all the status, the glamour, the material possessions, her job, Mama Annie remained throughout a very humble person at heart, and always had the desire to do good for others To my sisters and brothers, what can we say? We all miss Mama Annie. These are the kind of times that want to make you question your faith in a lot of things. Let us take strength from the fact that we were blessed to have had her as a sister. Let’s remember her for the good times she shared with us. Let’s remember her for the beacon of light she was for the family. Let’s maintain her legacy by carrying on with the exemplary life style that she had. Mama Annie, we will always love you.
