2014 has been a year of tragedy and suffering for many Palestine refugees. It has been a year where Palestinians have been forced to prove –yet again– their resilience in the face of tremendous odds. It has been a year when Palestine refugees, and UNRWA, have lived and worked through two, still ongoing, emergencies. In Syria and Gaza, lives are ruins and families are torn apart. These crises and the ongoing denial of refugees’ rights show clearly how unsustainable the Palestine refugee situation is. The human cost is unacceptable. We end the year with these numbers.
