2014 has reminded me that God will prop me when I buckle and carry me when my feet give way. Thank you Father. 2014 has taught me that when ordinary people unite around a common purpose the outcome is extraordinary. My challenges this year have been as imposing as mountains. I was oftentimes beaten to my knees. I saw the end of my capacity to endure. But you my people stood by me, with me and for me. Your faith encompassed me. Your faith moved those mountains from my path by carving valleys into them. 2014 has taught me that I can hurt people severely; that I can be selfish, inconsiderate and plain indifferent. It has taught me that my emotions are not reinforced by steel and that I can be crumbled. It has taught me to beg for forgiveness with a sincerely repentant heart. And to forgive with the same readiness with which I wish my sins mitigated. 2014 has taught me that my views are but expressions in a pool of notable perspectives; that I have no entitlement to prevail upon others. It has compounded my humility and deepen my plea to be insulated from the trappings of haughtiness. 2014 has taught me that sometimes love needs to be redefined for us to uncover our true identities, to blossom into our full potential. 2014 has reminded me that you my people fight for me as much as I commit my life to fight for you. As we carve new dreams and surmount new fears I ask you my people only that we steady our unity to secure for our countrymen better qualitative lives. Together our ordinary efforts can continue to yield extraordinary results. Thank you for holding the torch in the tunnel for me. I love you my people. I wish us a progressive and prosperous 2015.
