2014 in a nutshell! . . .In February, after an MRI, Drs. decided some intense radiation was indicated...5 treatments. Results were mixed! In April we were ready for a Road Trip with friends to visit my sister in Arizona, and their family in Lake Havasu City, Az...plus several side trip destinations...so fun. Then, in mid-September, the Road Trip bug, with the same friends, bit us again! This time, their family/our friends, in Montana, Buffalo Bill Center in Wyoming, and Yellowstone Natl Park. We ended up getting to visit Glacier Natl Park, Mt. Then, Oct. 3rd an MRI indicated concern of regrowth of the tumor, followed by a PET scan that negated some of that concern. The kids and I started making some all too familiar observations that triggered the need for another MRI on Nov 13. It was determined that the tumor had gotten aggressive and a decision needed to be made...surgery and further radiation was off the table, and IV chemo was on! As of this writing, he received his last scheduled chemo on Jan. 12, with an MRI scheduled for Jan. 23! WHAT WE KNOW . . . We have been VERY blessed with 3 1/2 good years since his original diagnosis, surgery, radiation and more radiation. We have the best and most attentive children anyone could hope for...Carey, Chris and Kim and their families, including 6 grandsons. Weve had 48 years of marriage, so many wonderful friends along the way, for that and so much more, we are very thankful...but, as human beings, we always want more...so goes the fight! THANK YOU ALL, for following our journey and praying for us along the way! We wish you MANY BLESSINGS OF HEALTH AND HAPPINESS in 2015!
