2014 is singing its final song. It has been a good year for me and the family and hence my profuse thanks to our God and Father, to our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit who holds the peace of the earth. We were provided with good health in the family and my kids are never tired of schooling. My dentist after training in orthodontics is now into implant surgery. I have two in medical school and one in accountancy. I have a grandson is is makulit but gets to memorize long bible verses. With his G6PD problem, I learned the importance of sublingual glutathion whenever he gets some infection. It helps a lot and I want it to share to all who have kids with the same problem. And likewise, I was able to help many patients in their health woes. I gathered from researches all around the world and combined some herbs and vegetables for cancer, diabetes, hypertension, gall stone and kidney stone treatments. They are all with my signatures so do not believe if they just use my name without my prescription. And to conclude it all, I was given a chance to mediate for the safety of the Ifugao General Hospital construction, braving all threats and bringing VIPs in government together. On the field of academics, I have published my surgical innovation: Feeding and draining vessel ligation and sclerotherapy of high flow arteriovenous malformations in the head and neck (Phil J of ORL, June 2014.) I hope it will help in the management of such lesions. I also have one in plastic surgery sent for publication for 2015: Septal-greater alar cartilage fixation and layered suturing for tip rhinoplasty. This technique will get rid of some tip work that uses devascularized cartilage that resorbs or implants that sometimes rejects or get infected. In teaching, I have taught my residents my 2002 innovation, Mandibular swing and lateral pterygectomy for base of skull surgery. I have demo also my anterior maxillary approach to the base of the skull with bilateral internal maxillary artery ligation. We took out a juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma that extended to the right nasal vestibule with only about 100 cc bleed in 45 mins. I love teaching! In the field, I planted 5000 narra seedlings, about 200 lanzones and rambutan, coconuts and bananas. Nature is so good to water them for me. For 2015, I look forward to more work as I shift from physical to mental since my right knee is aching from wear and tear from my marathon racing days in med school. Watch out for my periostium suspension facelift without implants technique to be published. I hope I could follow through with my brod Dr. Emmanuel Fabella in book writing and finish my series entitled Bumanon ka Gubbayan. I am trying to recall all my articles when I used to write in the Happitan forum of Ifugao Province. And for coffee planting of the mountains, I am happy our folks are now appreciating the trade as many are joining the Hinluyasirib coffee planting movement that I have founded in 2010. We hope to green barren Ifugao mountains as God blesses the work. If the government stay deaf and dumb to this endeavor, maybe a land reform of hills and mountains is on line. With all the blessings around, the Holy Spirit maintaining our peace and revealing to us wisdom, and God watering our plants, we welcome 2015 with eagerness and a prayer, that it should be better for everybody, more so for those who continue to seek Gods truth. Happy, prosperous and blessed new year to everyone.
