CFS crew were called to a house fire at Gawler River about 30km north of Adelaide, this morning. The alarm was raised just after 5.15am with 20 CFS volunteer firefighters responding to the blaze on Nottle Road. They arrived a short time later to find the house well involved but brought the fire under control within 40 minutes. Two occupants of the house fled the scene with no injuries. The cause has yet to be determined with the damage estimated at around $200,000.
