2015: NORTHERN ELDERS INSIST ON POWER-SHIFT TO THE REGION...PROFESSOR ANGO ABDULLAHI At a time well meaning Nigerians are looking beyond who leads the nation and from which region he may come from, this backward people are still flexing muscles that power must shift to a section of this country instead of supporting the present administration to progressively transform the nation to the eternal joy of all Nigerians and above all, to the glory of God. What a stupid way of being a professor and a regional leader instead of being a Nigerian leader! This fathom claim by the north is not really correct in a general sense because, it is only a minority view but due to their unlimited access to state funds and privileges, when they speak it looks as if they are carrying everybody along when indeed it is not so. A study of the ruler-ship of this nation clearly shows that the Hausa-Fulani group who are largely moslems have a near absolute control of power even at such periods of intervention when the minority group from the north happened to lead the country, it was solely at the whims and caprices of the so-called Hausa- Fulani who invariably dictated the tunes. The truth today is that things have changed for good and our fellow southern minority must be allowed to have their own turn in full. Because, what is good for the gander is also good for the goose! Nigerians are happy with the massive transformation agenda of this administration led by Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. He has clearly demonstrated to all Nigerians and the entire world that it is no longer business-as-usual. This is the new way of life in our dear country as we have moved beyond selfish regional leadership to modern nation building and transformation. Nigerians are united in their observations that similar to what happened before and during the 2011 elections, when the same northern elders forum boasted that even if Jonathan wins the election, that he will not rule which statement unfortunately resulted in total insecurity which the nation is battling to come out from till date! Therefore, it is not out of place for the security authorities to invite this irresponsible professor Ango Abdullahi for questioning before we all fall into their regional trap.
