2015: Patience Jonathan rallies support for Wike The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has expressed confidence in the ability of Rivers PDP governorship candidate, Chief Nyesom Wike, to govern the state. Patience Jonathan said this when she visited Wike at his residence on Saturday in Port Harcourt. She said Wike had been tested and that his leadership abilities were not in doubt. The first lady, therefore, urged the people of Rivers to cast their votes for him in the 2015 general elections. Responding, Wike thanked the first lady and pledged his loyalty and commitment to the people of the state. He also called for peace and unity among the people, adding that it was the only way meaningful development could thrive in the state.
