2015 kicked off with a great start! Why? here is why! I was watching some very distant storm cells as they were throwing out a lot of lightning due to them being rather large cells. I was originally attempting to capture some lightning at 300mm but was having a bit of trouble due to the distance and some blocking of the scene. I noticed a very interesting cloud building up not far from where I was set up and I thought to myself. Hmm looks like some potential storm development I decided to listen to my thoughts and adjust the camera in the direction of my potential cell. I waited and waited and then Bang I had captured a random CG strike. I was so shocked and excited at the same time. I was right! I left the camera aimed at the cell and managed to capture another before it had decided I had been given enough and the cell fizzled out! This has been a dream shot for me and Ive done it! Bring on the rest of 2015 :D.
