21 years ago… Granny and I sat on the porch, watching the sun retreat behind a small open field. Once the bugs started biting we went inside, where she turned on the Golden Girls and made me a pallet on the floor. She sat behind me and prayed aloud every few minutes, which was typical… Her excitement, despite the heat, pushed her to open the front door and wait… and wait… and wait… for what seemed like an eternity! Finally, Mr. Prichett, the old man next door, crawled up the porch steps to announce HER safe arrival! That night I became a big sister ❤ Burgandi- I love you so much.
