22 January Amazing Lord - TopicsExpress

22 January Amazing Lord The Holy Spirit does many strange things that dont fit in the box of our theology. I knew a lady from Switzerland who was a missionary to Japan. In sharing her testimony, she told how, as a little girl, she had heard the Gospel, but didnt know how to get in touch with Jesus. One day her mother bought her a little helium balloon. Suddenly, she had a brilliant idea. She wrote a note to the Lord and said, “Dear Lord Jesus, I want you to be my savior. Will You please come into my heart and make me Your child? Love Suzie”. Then she tied the note to the balloon, went outside, and sent it up to heaven to Jesus. She said that night, when her mother tucked her in bed, her heart was just pounding. She waited quietly until her mother turned out the light, closed the door, and went downstairs. When she was sure no one was listening, she jumped out of bed, knelt down beside it, and asked, “Lord Jesus, Did you get my note?” And Jesus graciously answered, “Yes, My child, I did.” Before the 2nd WW there was an American missionary to China. In the town where he was working, there was a man who was severe intellectually impaired that everyone called the town fool. Along with hundreds of others, Brother England shared the Gospel with the town fool. And, in his own way, he believed. One day Brother England heard that Fool was sick, and went to see him. When missionary England walked in the room, Fool was overjoyed. The missionary asked, “Fool, how is it?” The town fool replied, “Oh, England Sensei, I am so happy! I was reading the Bible this morning, and the Lord spoke to me. He said, “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee”. (Lk. 12:20). Isnt that wonderful! All my life no one has ever wanted me. But God wants me. Oh, God wants me”. And that night He proved it, as Fool joyously left to see the God who loved him, and wanted his soul. We cant limit the Lord. The Holy Spirit is amazing in how He graciously adapts Himself to the limits of our understanding, and does some unorthodox things that we may not feel are proper.
