On this day in 1983, the most iconic music video ever, Thriller, by the king of pop himself, Michael Jackson, debuted via MTV and took the entire world by storm. This music video, directed by John Landis, was a milestone in Michael Jacksons career but also changed the way we now look at music videos as an art form. The 2006 Guiness World Record listed the music video as the most successful music video, which sold over nine million copies. 5 years ago, the National Film Registry by The Library of Congress inducted this short, being the first music video ever to do so. Michael will always be a hero to me and this is an iconic song that I will cherish for a lifetime.
