22 YEAR OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR RAPING A 56 YEAR OLD WOMAN FROM A DRINKING SPREE POLICE in Mufulira have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly raping a 56-year-old woman who was on her way home coming from a drinking spree. Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said the incident happened around 19:30 hours on Saturday in Katanshi Township. Ms Kasosa named the suspect as Joseph Kabashe of Kankoyo Township. She said the incident happened at a nearby bush in Katanshi Township near the victim’s home. “The suspect dragged the woman to a nearby bush and raped her,” she said. Ms Kasosa said the suspect was arrested by members of the public who found him in the act. She said Kabashe is in police custody and will appear in court soon. Source: Zambia Daily Mail
