23rd of Sept is the Autumn Equinox, known also as the festival of Mabon. It is a point of balance between light and dark, today the day and night are of equal length, but tomorrow the night will be fractionally longer than the day, and the nights will grow longer until the mid winter Solstice. The Equinoxes can be times of storms and uncertainty, the change of emphasis from light to dark does not always go smoothly. Tonight the Dark Goddess begins her ascendancy.
