24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued At: 5:00 a.m., 22 September 2013 Valid Beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow Synopsis: At 4:00 am today, the eye of Typhoon "ODETTE" {USAGI} was located based on all available data at 320 km west of Itbayat, Batanes (21.4°N,118.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kph. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon. Forecast: Metro Manila, MIMAROPA and CALABARZON will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flasfloods and landslides. Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail throughout the entire archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough. - DOST PAGASA
