24-Hour Public Weather Forecast Issued at 5:00 a.m., 17 October 2014 Valid beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow Synopsis: At 4:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 250 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.5˚N, 127.0˚E). Northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. Forecast: Metro Manila, Bicol region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and the provinces of Samar and Panay island will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) will have cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Western Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
