25 June, 2014 I must say I am impressed by the stance of India PM Modi in his instructions for ministries to open various social media accounts. This is certainly to be commended and is a positive step in the further development of governmental infrastructure and will permit easier access to information for persons both in and outside of India. I take note also for the wish in the preservation of language. This is a further positive measure, I would ask that care be taken not to alienate non Hindu speaking persons, myself being one and this may require additional effort when material is produced. Updating pages however at least once every fifteen days perhaps should be reviewed as complacency may take hold. My suggestion is that this time frame be stated as, at least once every week. This will further ensure information is updated and persons accessing the profiles are suitably engaged with. Engage a structured social media team that can dedicate its time, remaining fully focused on an extensively sized population and eclectic variety of personalities on the global platform.
