25 years ago today...I married my best friend. We had no idea where that road would take us. Our story began in Kentucky...Georgetown College, Midway College, pastoring two churches, Seminary, Keneseth Israel Preschool, Army, accident and death of my dad, Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children. Next stop in 1997 in Southern Illinois...Baptist Childrens Home, Russia to adopt our oldest two, a kidney transplant, adoption of our third child. added Tucker and Lincoln to our clan.2006 brought a move to Fort Worth Texas...consulting, North Fort Worth Baptist Church, soccer (lots of it!) and the addition of Mason. 2008 (God has been good and faithful and in every move!) we moved to Savannah, Ga...Bethesda Home for Boys, Tybee Island, Calvary in Savannah, St. James School, Bailey Annabelle Bolton (and her mom and dad!), SST swimming, hiking on the islands. In 2010, we followed Gods call back to Illinois..every step of the way, He has led us. Baptist Foundation of Illinois, Petersburg, PORTA High School, Western Oaks Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Petersburg, losing our Tucker, adding Lilly to the clan, Laurens graduation from Basic, High School and today as an Honor Grad from AIT. As I reflect over the past 25 years, one word keeps coming to mind...blessed. Thru every situation, good AND bad, I am blessed. Not sure what the next 25 holds, but grateful to have my best friend and soulmate by my side!
