25 years ago today at this time My Nerves were in Shambles as I was home needing to put on my wedding dress and my mom was at my sisters helping Finish up last minute details on bridesmaids dresses . I was NOT home alone I was home with my grandmother who was living with is at the time she was sickly I guess you would say . I REMEMBER being in tears because my mamma want there to help me and my Maw Maw with her heavily humped back that couldnt stand straight good said come here and she helped me . With every BUTTON she buttoned down the back of my dress which was at least 50 she talked and told me of how she LOVED me and my Paw Paw (who had passed away 8/10 weeks before) Loved me and she told me stories of what she remembered of me being a child and she GIGGLED and she Got teary eyed and shaky voiced at times . For as upset as I was that my Mom wasnt there I sure was OVERLY BLESSED that my Maw Maw Ruby was . That she was able to be a PART of my SPECIAL DAY . (She didnt attend my wedding ) She got me buttoned in and stared at me for a while and hugged me TIGHT Ill NEVER forget that hug those hands shaky S she Buttoned . And I was off to ST.THERESA CHURCH . And the music began and my slew of bridemaids and nieces and nephews made their entry . Than it was me and my Daddys turn who had tears in his eyes and a crack in his voice as he said ya READY ya still have time to turn back . BUT he quickly came back with hes a GOOD GUY he will yKe care of you thats all a DAddy can ask far .with his quirky QUIRK self he says I mean did it have to be a SPICK ...with his shit eatin grin . And we were off down the isle . And there stood The BIG C .the Man that has put up with MORE SHIOT from my OUTSPOKEN as HELL SELF !! Waiting to make me his wife ! How Lucky I am to HONESTLY have gone to a wedding 28 years ago where we crossed paths . To have met and fell in LOVE with a SPICK who would truly lay down his life for me . We have been through so much in 25 years Each day a Milestone . I wouldnt trade not one second of the last 25 because its through them we Are who and where we are today !! I LOVE YA BIG C ..I dont tell ya Nearly enough ( because I like ya ya beg ..lol) You are just what my daddy said a GOOD MAN a SPIVK BUT a GOOD MAN . And he didnt didnt haul me out the church in the other direction because he saw that in you. A daddys word opinions are Kept deep in the heart of his daughter !!!
