25th May 2014 - The Voting Counting Process This is the year of Jubilee for Malawi – 50 years of Independence. According to the Word on God in Leviticus 25, in the year of Jubilee, the Priest would blow the trumpet. Two key things that happened in the year of Jubilee are: 1. Slaves were released 2. Debts were cancelled The freedom of slaves was based on the choice of the slave. A slave could choose to be freed or remain under slavery. Malawi has come to that place of choice. As a priest, today, I blow the trumpet, it is time to choose. My prayer is that you will choose freedom. As you go to the polls, and as you stand on the polling line, and as you cast your vote please prayer. SHARE THIS PRAYER GUIDE. 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 – “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.” 1. Declare the Lordship of Jehovah over the affairs of the Land 2. Declare God as head and ruler over Malawi Proverbs 16:9 “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” 3. Pray that the Lord will order the voting steps of all voters 4. Pray that men will submit to the plans of God Job 42:2 “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” 5. Pray that no power of evil will frustrate the plans of God Isaiah 46:9-10 – “Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose” 6. Pray that the counsel of the Lord in the hearts of voters will be established Psalm 103:19- “The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.” 7. Pray that the Kingdom of God will rule over Malawi Lamentations 3:37 – “Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has commanded it?” 8. Pray and nullify every soulish, diabolic, prayers and prophecies 9. Nullify every decree and prophecy that has been made against the will and plan of God Daniel 2:21 – “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:” 10. Pray for a new season over Malawi, a season of prosperity, true freedom, peace 11. Pray that even as people will be voting, God will in His sovereign, and divine way set up a President, members of Parliament and Councillors over Malawi 12. Pray for wisdom, that Malawians will vote wisely beyond tribal, regional and party lines Proverbs 25:4-6 – “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer. 5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.” 13. Pray that the wicked will not be counted into State House (Mention Kamuzu Palace), parliament and Council Chambers 14. Pray that the presidency will be established in righteousness PRAYING FOR PEACE IN MALAWI Leviticus 26:6 (New King James Version) – “I will give peace in the land, and you shall die down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.” Psalm 147:14-15 – “He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. 15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.” John 14:27 – “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” 15. Raise your voice to the father and humbly ask for His favour for the people of Malawi in praying for peace within this nation. 16. Ask the Lord to move away the sword of destruction in this country, and pray the He brings peace as well as reconciliation 17. Pray for tranquillity of heart for all those who were hopeful to win the elections and the vote may not be going their way. Job 22:28 – “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” DECLARE IN FAITH THAT: • Peace over Malawi • Declare that God will give us a visionary leader, a leader of integrity.
