I have to share another story......Ladies, please....get your mammograms and do self breast exams!!! My prognoses could have been very different. Remember, I had a mammogram in May that was good. I found a peanut size lump in late July. Yes... I was scared to know what it could be. I was in denial . I joined Boot Camp Madness in March and was working my tail off to get in shape. Exercising 5-6 days week. In June, I started running. I ran everyday and I ran in a couple 5Ks. I was addicted to running. Sounds crazy huh?? I had lost about 20 lbs and changed my eating habits drastically! I was feeling the BEST that I had ever felt!! With all this in mind, It was easy to convince my self that the lump in my breast was just normal breast tissue that I hadnt noticed before. Mammogram in May was normal, I had lost 20lbs--- no need to be concerned. I convinced myself it was nothing!! WRONG!!! You all know the rest of the story( as Paul Harvey would say) Early detection is so important. I am only 43 years young. There are women out there in their 20s,30s, 40s, 50s and so on, fighting the fight of their life. Cancer does not discriminate!!!!! I am a very lucky lady...I have God to thank for everything! Start today!! Schedule your mammogram!!
