27/07/2014 - Springfield - Oregon - USA Comment: Charred debris and ash from the Swanson Mill fire may contain asbestos, the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency said. - This was the description of the original posting on the 24/07/2014, how right they were. Today: Residents have reported debris from the fire on properties within a 5-mile radius south and southeast of the mill, although that radius could expand, said Jo Niehaus, spokeswoman for the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency. The good news about this story is the very positive response to what is obviously a dangerous and worrying situation.
