$27,500 DIGITAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO BURNABY SOUTH STUDENT New Westminster, BC, June 13, 2013 — CG Masters School of 3D Animation and Visual Effects is pleased to announce the award of our first local high school full-tuition scholarship. The successful candidate is Minh Quach of New Westminster, B.C. This remarkable young artist is an honor student with multiple awards including the Work Ethics Award, the Senior Media Arts Award, the Top AP 2D Design 12 Award and the Top Senior Animation Award, among others. But this is nothing new. Minh has been winning top awards in drawing, painting and ceramics since 2009. “Minh has displayed extraordinary prowess in his drawing, painting and sculpting skills and is developing skills in many other areas of the visual arts,” says Nicholas Boughen, Senior Education Administrator for the school. His teachers describe him as “hard working, highly self-motivated”. Bernie Robinson, Visual Arts Teacher says “His attention to detail is phenomenal and always visually intriguing.” Animation, Video and Media Arts Teacher Vania Alexieva says of Minh “I have found him to be a bright, hard-working, fast-learning, creative and very detail-oriented young man.” “We look forward to seeing what he can do this September with professional software tools and veteran industry mentors guiding him,” says Boughen. CG Masters is a new kind of 3D Animation and Visual Effects School that provides training and guidance from veteran industry masters. Located in Downtown New Westminster with unbelievably easy access to the Skytrain, it is the first school to offer this kind of training, filling a major gap in the digital media training industry. https://facebook/media/set/?set=a.665190020162230.1073741826.141654879182416&type=1
