27 October 1997: Its 17 years ago today that The Seekers released Future Road - their first studio album in 30 years! Future Road was recorded in Australia in between June and August 1997, with ARIA award-winning Fisher at the controls. It was mixed in Nashville in September by David Leonard, best known for his work with Prince on the Purple Rain album. In 2013, Universal Music released the album as a deluxe CD/DVD set, with the inclusion of Far Shore, the magnificent Harry Vanda & George Young song recorded by The Seekers in the Future Road sessions and originally released as a single. The set also included the making of Future Road video with the addition of the film clip for Far Shore - the first official clipThe Seekers have recorded in their long and distinguished career.
