28 Compassion kids had been sponsored by the time I left. One father shot me so many questions, that I thought he wouldnt sponsor anyone...Then I turned round and found that he and his wife had sponsored SEVEN children!!! What an encouragement it was to us. At least 6 families preferred to go home and sponsor online. One mother said that is what she would do for her 4 year old young daughter and left for their car. However, this young lady was not willing to go home, so her mother came back with this little one - who was still in tears. . It was so good that the June 15th Compassion child she needed, had not taken by someone else! She went home so happy! Another mother was in tears when she learned that the child they had sponsored was from downtown Kolkata near where Mother Theresa worked. Its been a moving day.
