29 - 10 - 2014 Exodus 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. This is one of the several scriptures that have brought of many doctrines with the Christian faith and other religious cycles around the world. Many have postulated from this scripture that because the presence of God is a holy ground shoes or sandals for the feet must not be worn just like was told Moses. There are many things that identifies a person in certain customs and traditions. Now one of such is the footware or sandals you have. During Bible times, one thing that identified a person as a son was his footware since slaves and servants walk barefooted. When the Prodigal son came to his farher, he was barefooted denoting the position he desired as a servant in his fathers house for he said am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants...But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: (Luke 15: 19, 22) When Moses stood before God, he stood there as a man being taught and learned in all knowledge of the Egyptians, who was mighty in words and in deeds. (Acts 7:22) His training as a son was according to the Egyptian culture but before God he was to come as a servant because sonship is confered upon. God asked Moses to take of the symbol of his sonship as a heathen and embrass his holiness. Throughout scripture, there there is no where stated as Gods children walking barefooted. Whenever people are spoken of as being barefooted, it only served as a sign for servitude. My dear! You are a child or the most high God. Every man comes before God as a son of world but God put off those shoes from your feet and give you that of his glory. You dont walk barefooted like a servant before Him, you are his beloved son in whom He is well pleased. Anyone that goes before God barefooted is before God a servant and not a son. Honey! Son are heirs, dont allow yourself to be treated as a servant! (Galatians 4:1) © Jireh Consult 2014
