Here in Ottawa, there are only TWO ways to see INTERSTELLAR: on 2K DIGITAL at the multiplex or on 35mm FILM here at the Mayfair. Even if a cinema here in town advertises the film as playing in 4K, its really only a 4K copy playing on a 2K projector (kind of like showing a DVD on a Blu-ray player.) Since a true 70mm IMAX presentation of INTERSTELLAR is not available in Ottawa (No, multiplex IMAX is not really IMAX but rather a cheap imitation!) we highly recommend that you see INTERSTELLER the way director Christopher Nolan intends you to see it -- on 35mm film! Technical specs aside, youll be experiencing this grand space epic in a classic cinema at a fraction of the cost of a multiplex ticket (and hey, our popcorn is even cheaper, and tastier;) For showtimes, visit mayfairtheatre.ca
