29 mins · Like Peter Killey In the right position ie just over the water think of all the school kids who would much rather explore a genuine warship with a great history rather than a bloody dairy, art gallery or recycling plant. Theres no sense in it! Look at Victory or Belfast neither of which are an ounce as pretty as our girl 25 mins · Like Ian Thornton agree with you Peter - can have all the photographs or videos of her in the world but nowhere as good as having the real thing still - its only because somebody in the past has saved HMS Victory and also HMS Belfast that people can go onboard a piece of our naval heritage in the future - when its gone its gone!!!!!!!!!! 19 mins · Like · 1 Peter Killey Interesting to know who saved them and how, was it MOD or just enthusiasts in the first place especially in the case of Belfast *hits google* 7 mins · Like Peter Killey HMS Belfast trust 1971 after Imperial War Museum and MOD said it cost too much to do, once again the big guns dont give a toss and leave it up to enthusiasts to do it all 2 mins · Like Laurence Sharpe-Stevens interesting that they made that same comment then as to what they said about HMS Plymouth . Perhaps we need to publicise this fact wider ?
