3) RESPONSE TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT THE PROPHET (P.B.U.H) KNEW EVERYTHING (KULLI KNOWLEDGE OF UNSEEN). :- SUFI SCHOLAR PROFESSOR DR MUHAMMAD MAS’UD AHMED, M.A. PHD.SAID :- The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was sent as a “Shahid” (Witness), i.e. a person who is in constant touch will the affairs taking place in the world, examining and analyzing them as an observer with an insight to assess and analyse their influence in day-to-day matters. He thus remained ever aware of the God-gifted vigilance possessing full knowledge as an eye-witness, with powers of Haqq-ul-Yaqeen and Ain-ul-Yaqeen – the faculty of witnessing things with unwavering faith and certitude. [Article ilm-e-ghaib - (Knowledge of Unseen)] SOURCE :- islamicacademy.org/html/Articles/English/ ilm_e_Ghaib.htm AHMAD YAAR KHAN NAEEMI SAID :- Some people consider knowledge of Prophet (p.b.u.h) equal to Allah(swt) with difference of his own knowledge and knowledge given (atai). But shaykh Abdul Haq didn’t declare such people mushrik, rather called them knowledgeable(learned). With this we come to know that believing in Prophet (p.b.u.h)’s knowledge of unseen is not shirk. SOURCE :- alahazrat.net/library/UrduBooks/Ja- AlHaq/index.php?page=31 BELOW ARE REFUTATION OF ABOVE SAYING OF SUFI SCHOLAR :- A) EVIDENCE FROM QURAN. :- Say, “I hold not for myself [the power of] benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe.” (SURAH ARAAF 7 VERSE 188) Say, [O Muhammad], “I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.” Say, “Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?” (SURAH AL-ANAAM 6 VERSE 50) And I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel, nor do I say of those upon whom your eyes look down that Allah will never grant them any good. Allah is most knowing of what is within their souls. Indeed, I would then be among the wrongdoers.” (SURAH HOOD 11 VERSE 31) Say, “I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner.” (SURAH AL-AHQAF 46 VERSE 9) [Be warned of] the Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, “What was the response you received?” They will say, “We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen” (SURAH MAIDAH 5 VERSE 109) B) EVIDENCE FROM SUNNAH. :- Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri:While the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) was leading his Companions in prayer, he took off his sandals and laid them on his left side; so when the people saw this, they removed their sandals. When the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) finished his prayer, he asked: What made you remove your sandals? The replied: We saw you remove your sandals, so we removed our sandals. The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h) then said: Gabriel came to me and informed me that there was filth in them. When any of you comes to the mosque, he should see; if he finds filth on his sandals, he should wipe it off and pray in them. ABU DAWOOD (Book 2, Hadith 0650) COMMENT :- If he (p.b.u.h) had ‘kulli’ knowledge as per sufi creed, then why he (p.b.u.h) himself offered salah with dirt on his sandals when he has ‘kulli’ (full knowledge of unseen)?? na auzubillah. It was narrated from Jubayr ibn Mut’im that a man came to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allaah, which part of the land is worst? He said: “I do not know.” When Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to him he said: “O Jibreel, which part of the land is worst?” He said: “I do not know, until I ask my Lord, may He be glorified and exalted.” Jibreel (peace be upon him) went away, and stayed away for as long as Allaah willed that he should stay away. Then he came and said: “O Muhammad, you asked me which part of the land is worst and I said I did not know. I asked my Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, and He said: Its markets.” MUSNAD AHMAD (HADITH 16302) MUSNAD ABU YALA (HADITH 7348) COMMENT :- If He (p.b.u.h) had Kulli knowledge as per sufi creed, why he said he dont know the worst place in duniya ??? Then the Prophet came to us and I (addressing the dead body) said, “O Abu As- Sa’ib, may Allah’s Mercy be on you! I bear witness that Allah has honored you.” On that the Prophet said, “How do you know that Allah has honored him?” I replied, “I do not know. May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah’s Apostle! But who else is worthy of it (if not `Uthman)?” He said, “As to him, by Allah, death has overtaken him, and I hope the best for him. By Allah, though I am the Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me,” By Allah, I will never assert the piety of anyone after him. That made me sad, and when I slept I saw in a dream a flowing stream for `Uthman bin Maz’un. I went to Allah’s Apostle and told him of it. He remarked, “That symbolizes his (good) deeds.” SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 5, Book 58, Hadith 266) SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 9, Book 87, Hadith 145) SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 2, Book 23, Hadith 334) SAHIH BUKHARI (Vol. 9, Book 87, Hadith 131) COMMENT :- If He (p.b.u.h) had Kulli Knowledge as per Sufi Creed, then why he (p.b.u.h) said “I do not know what Allah will do to me,”? Narrated Anas bin Malik:(The tribes of) Ril, Dhakwan, ‘Usaiya and Bani Lihyan asked Allah’s Apostle to provide them with some men to support them against their enemy. He therefore provided them with seventy men from the Ansar whom we used to call Al-Qurra’ in their lifetime. They used to collect wood by daytime and pray at night. When they were at the well of Ma’una, the infidels killed them by betraying them. When this news reached the Prophet , he said Al-Qunut for one month In the morning prayer, invoking evil upon some of the ‘Arab tribes, upon Ril, Dhakwan, ‘Usaiya and Bani Libyan. We used to read a verse of the Qur’an revealed in their connection, but later the verse was cancelled. It was: “convey to our people on our behalf the information that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us, and has made us pleased.” (Anas bin Malik added:) Allah’s Prophet said Qunut for one month in the morning prayer, invoking evil upon some of the ‘Arab tribes (namely), Ril, Dhakwan, Usaiya, and Bani Libyan.
