30 DAYS OF THANKSGIVING ( 17th,November 2013) DAY 17: Today let us thank God, for releasing the rain and air moderately, causing our earth to be productive and conducive for living. Psalms 147:7- 8 NLT “Sing out your thanks to the LORD; sing praises to our God, accompanied by harps. He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the green grass grow in mountain pastures.” REFLECTION There are certain essentials necessary to make our earth worth living: the air, the rain, the sun, and the vegetation, to mention just a few. Since we have them in their due time and season, it has become so normal with our existence that some of us never consider, the danger that their absence or excess can cause in our lives. Their absence can cause famine, and their excess can lead to disaster. Do we have any reasons to thank God for the plant, the air, the sun and the rain that come moderately in their proper time and season this year? If we are not out of touch with what is going on around the world- typhoon, hurricane, cyclone, tornado, windstorm, and many other forms of disaster that befell certain nations of our world this year, and in the past years, we will sing out a song of thanksgiving to the Lord, for giving us the rain, the air and everything moderately this year. Let us thank God today, for releasing the rain and the air moderately, causing our earth to be productive and conducive for living. PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING: Father we thank You, for releasing the rain and the air moderately causing our earth to be productive and conducive for living, thank You Father, in Jesus’ name.
