30 Day Book Challenge!! Day 21 - Favourite book from your childhood Umm.. I dont know! I dont really remember any but The Gruffalo. I dont think I read many childrens books, and the books I did read I dont remember sooo :3 PREVIOUS DAYS: Day 20 - Favourite romance book The Fault In Our Stars (that counts right? I dont know, I dont usually go for romances :3 ) Day 19 - Favourite book turned into a movie Has to be Catching Fire. Next best would either be The Maze Runner or The Fault In Our Stars ^_^ Day 18 - A book that disappointed you There have been a few books Ive read this summer that have been a disappointment. One was The 100 by Kass Morgan; I feel as if what happened at the end couldve happened so much sooner and I honestly preferred season 1 of the tv show to the book, even though the book came first and the tv show was only based on the book. Another was Cracks by Caroline Green; the idea for the story interested me so much and I couldnt wait to read it, but when I got around to it, it really disappointed me and I expected so much more from it. A third was Looking For Alaska by John Green; I expected something else and a surprise at the end that never came. And finally If I Stay/Where She Went; it felt boring and to me, she couldve made her choice so much sooner than the very end of the book. Day 17 - Favourite quote from your favourite book Its not my fave book/series, but I love The right thing and the easy thing are never the same. from Beautiful Creatures. I also love Thats the thing about pain, it demands to be felt. and The world is not a wish granting factory from TFIOS :) Day 16 - Favourite female character Like with the male character, I love so many!!! Johanna and Clove from THG, Tris and Christina from Divergent, Izzy and Emma from The Shadowhunter Chronicles, Teresa from The Maze Runner, Sissy from The Hunt... DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE!! Day 15 - Favourite male character Hmm... I dont know!! There are so many!! Thomas, Newt and Minho from The Maze Runner, Gene from The Hunt, Will, Jem, Jace, Alec, Magnus and Jules from The Shadowhunter Chronicles.. I could go on.. theyre all so brilliant!! If I had to choose... I CANT!! Day 14 - Favourite book of your favourite writer As said yesterday, I dont have a fave writer, so it should really just be my fave books because I wouldnt love them if they were badly written :3 Day 13 - Your favourite writer I dont have a favourite writer. I think theyre all just as good as each other... though probably the author of my fave series because I wouldnt love the story if the writing was crap :3 Day 12 - A book you used to love but dont anymore Hmm.. I dont love then hate books... or havent yet, but I dont think I love THG as much as I used to :P Day 11 - A book you hated Theres a fine line between books I hated and books that I thought were okay... and a lot of books which I dont obsess over are okay.. but I think each book Ive read has something good about it, even if its just a small part of the story that made me excited/scared/etc. Also, I dont like saying I hated x book because other people might love the book. I prefer to use I didnt [really] like x book, and that category would probably include To Kill A Mockingbird, If I Stay/Where She Went, We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and The 100 by Kass Morgan... though they did have their moments.. Day 10 - Favourite classic book I dont tend to go for classics. The ones I have read have been really boring and I cant remember which ones.. probably because I was kinda forced to read them :( I studied To Kill A Mockingbird last year.. and I kinda fell asleep while reading it :O Does Alice In Wonderland count? That was okay.. The classic Im most interested in is Lord of the Flies. I really want to read it but, as with many books, I havent got around to it yet :3 Day 9 - A book you thought you wouldnt like but ended up loving The Fault In Our Stars. Its definitely not the kind of book Id usually go for and I honestly just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Lets just say I was not okay after that... Day 8 - Most overrated book There are 2 books I feel that are overrated. Looking For Alaska is one. I expected something so much bigger at the end (which is spoilers but if you want to know, Ill let you know in the comments) and it just didnt feel amazing to me. It was my friends fave book for a while and I wanted to read it to see what all the fuss was about and I just dont get it. The second is If I Stay because, again, theres all this fuss around it and I did expect something more from it. I feel as if the whole book dragged - she couldve made her choice so much sooner :P Day 7 - Most underrated book Hmm... Maybe The Maze Runner series because I dont think its a very big fandom and people say the books get worse in a way as they go on, but I thought it was an amazing series... Maybe Allegiant because people hate the ending, but I think its a good ending and Im okay with what Veronica did.. Maybe the Beautiful Creatures series. I really liked that series and I think it doesnt get enough credit/doesnt have many fans... but I dont really know the answer to this one :P Day 6 - A book that makes you sad The Fault In Our Stars is the first that comes to mind :( Day 5 - A book that makes you happy Umm.. I dont know!! Probably all of the books Ive read have given me so many feels and made me cry at some point!! Umm.. okay, I think the book/series that makes me most happy just thinking about it briefly is the Infernal Devices.. so Ill go with that :3 Day 4 - Favourite book of your favourite series Divergent: Divergent (the first one) The Hunt: The Trap (the last one) Day 3 - Your favourite series Well known - Divergent (Close second: The Maze Runner) Unknown - The Hunt trilogy by Andrew Fukuda (Close second: The Inventors and its sequel The Inventors and the City of Stolen Souls by Alexander Gordon Smith and Jamie Webb) Day 2 - A book that youve read more than 3 times I dont re-read books unless I want to have the story fresh in my mind for a sequel or for when I see the film of it. I just prefer to read new books and have new stories to fangirl over ;) The only book Ive read 3+ times is Divergent; first time ever in April 2013, then again for Allegiant in October 2013 and then a third time for the film March 2014 :) Day 1 - Best book you read last year Well, thats very difficult!! Many of the fandoms Im in I joined last year; Divergent, The Maze Runner, Beautiful Creatures, Shadowhunter Chronicles, TFIOS... I also read The Inventors by Alexander Gordon Smith and Jamie Webb and then its sequel The Inventors and the City of Stolen Souls. All are amazing and I love some more than others. To narrow it down: Divergent, The Maze Runner, The Inventors. Best book from each series: I think its actually the first book from all 3!! And I honestly have no clue which ones top, but its definitely out of those 3. I will never ever be able to choose my ultimate fave book :P
