31 Days of TERROR! Day 25 (MAKE UP DAY): Evil Dead Trilogy (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness) So I had a busy weekend and didnt get around to posting my picks for a couple of days. Next couple of posts are going to be make-up posts. WELP- its no secret the Evil Dead tril is one of my favorites. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are in their prime with these movies and you really cant find a better cult horror film series out there. I decided to put all these together because I want to focus on other movies in the following days, but these are all amazing films in their own regard. Evil Dead has some of the best stories about its creation and has become infamous through the years. Its the more serious film of the 3. Evil Dead 2 is the perfect blend of horror and comedy and takes the idea of practically remaking the first film, something that usually doesnt work, and improves upon the original formula, making something wholly unique. Its got some great special effects and gags, plus ashs demonic hand is fantastic. Army of Darkness was the first I saw of the three when I saw it on television many moons ago, but theres a reason it caught my attention- its simply hilarious and has some of the best one-liners in the history of cinema. Army of Darkness is never a dull moment. These three are required viewing if you love horror movies- if you havent seen one of these three movies, you should. Sorry I dont have a more compelling argument than that, but these movies speak for themselves.
