31 minutes ago. PRODUCT REVIEW: Boing Lures G2 Popper Today I took the new Boing G2 popper out for test drive and put it through the paces. To say that this lure is versatile would be a gross understatement. The G2 is 3 5/8" in length and weighs in at just over a half ounce, and it will cast like a bullet. It has the same innovative dual frequency rattle system that its predecessor the Boing has. You can audibly hear the rattles from over 50 feet away as you work the bait. Again, as with the original Boing, the finish on the bait is spectacularly painted by Dwain Batey at Baitwerks and comes in several great colors. The #4 Gamakatzu treble hooks are a perfect match for the balance of the bait and eliminates the need to change the "stock" hooks. What I found out today is this, by changing my retrieve styles and cadence, this lure is capable of doing what it would take 4-5 different lures to do. With a light twitch of the rod downward, the bait would spit, twitching it harder downward it would chug. The G2 will "walk the dog" and will dart and dive just under the surface when snapped down like a floating jerkbait. And with a slow steady retrieve at the right speed it could be used as a wake bait as well. The G2 popper is a high quality bait made with high quality parts and comes from a high quality company
