32 He went silent. I hung up the call and just sat there thinking about what really happened to him or maybe he was tryna put me in suspense or something. I played with my phone until I fell asleep. Woke up the next morning, prepared for school, ate then took my bag and my phone and mama drove me to school. As usual I found my friends waiting for me. I was so happy to be back to school, it felt like it has been the whole week but it was just one day, I missed my crazy lunatics and Luzuko ;). We went to the bathroom then the bell rang, we went to separate classes. The classed went on until it was break. My friends fetched me then we went to our usual spot. We sat on the grass, ate our lunch with chats in between. Presh : So chomma were hunting down the bish. Samu asked for my phone and I gave it to her. She loves paging through my phone. Me : *not interested* Lets leave it guys. Sethu : Anele is right you know. Samu : WTF. Us : *eyes out* WHAT? Samu : This cant be happening. Preshy grabbed the phone outta her hands. Presh : NOOOO! This yellowbone chick is Nonkus cousin. How come I didnt know her, I knew almost all Nonkululekos cousins. Sethu : Now we know who we dealing with. So they sent their cousin to seduce my man because they didnt have the courage to do that. The bell rang and we went to separate classes. The classes continued until afterschool. Luzuko accompanied me to the gate, we waited for my mom but she took her time. I decided to call and tell her that Ill catch a taxi. My friends joined me and we took a walk instead of a catching taxi. I arrived at home and went straight to take a nap, I was tired from all the slow walks. Woke up to some bad news. I got a message from Neo telling me that Bandile was involved in a tragic car accident and hes in ICU. So the loud bang that I heard over the phone last night was this? I cried my lungs out, this was all my fault. If only I answered my phone the very first time he called, this wouldnt have happened. My thoughts were disturbed by Lonwabos soft tender hug. I kept on wiping my tears away, why does every wrong thing happens to me? Dont I deserve happiness just once? When I finally have the keys to happiness, someone comes and changes the locks... He cant leave me now, I need him and his daughter needs him more than I do. We all make mistakes but this wasnt the way I wish he could be punished, Im willing to forgive him not because of his current situation but because he was tempted. I got up and went to the bathroom, washed my face and rinsed my mouth. After that I went to the dining room. My mom prayed, Esihle said the grace and they ate but I couldnt, Im here eating decent food and he is there in the hospital bed not moving or saying any word. I felt my cheeks getting warm, thats when I realised that I was crying. Mom : Anele yintoni inxaki mntanam? I got up without saying any words and went straight to my room. I threw myself on the bed and buried my face under the pillow and cried until I fell asleep. Woke up in the morning with a heavy headache, I didnt feel like going to school but Ive been absent too much, I dragged myself outta bed and took a shower then did everything. We drove to school. The moment I saw my friends I cried, they comforted me then we went to the bathroom, I washed my face then went to class. The school continued as a normal, Neo offered to take me to hospital, I called my mom and told her Ill come back home late. I waited at the gate with my friends until Neo came, said goodbyes to the lunatics then we drove to hospital. #Aneh
