35 days in the hospital. There has not been one day that Miranda has thought about herself. Anybody that knows her personally knows that any day of the week she thinks about everybody around her. All the time. Somebody could run up and slap her in the face and she would turn around and make sure they were okay. Then I would go hit them back for her because she never in a million years would. She has been like this her whole life. She could be in a poor pitiful me attitude and depressed wondering why she was in this position. She could be milking the whole situation. She isnt. The fan is on because she is always hot, she makes sure we are not cold. A doctor hurts her thinking it is funny, makes her cry, she sucks it up and doesnt hold it against him for a second. Even when all the nurses say she should have slapped him;) Everybody is taking care of her day in and day out and she is making sure everybody is getting enough sleep. She makes sure mom goes home to rest and gets out of the hospital. Makes sure we have cars available for mom, because dad is out of town for a couple of days and cant be the chauffeur. Shes making sure we are not giving up things because of her. She asks everybody how their day is when they walk through the door. The LITTLE things that normally are looked over, she is thinking about as she is struggling in a hospital bed. She completely amazes me. I cannot say that I would be doing the same. Miranda - you are my hero. I love you so much. Thank you for showing us what the heart of Jesus should look like...even from laying in a hospital bed where it would be completely acceptable to not be thinking about anybody else.
