35 years ago today, I started working for the Factory Mutual Engineering Association. I was 28 years old. My wife and I had 2 sons, Aaron 4 years old and Chad, just turned age 1. This venture took us to an area where we had no family and no friends. It was all new to us. I just received my Masters degree and there was an opportunity for me to grow my career and to provide for my family. There were struggles along the way but we reached my age 60th birthday three years ago and I retired. I can say it seems like an eternity ago that I started working checking valves, flowing fire pumps and such. And the last 3 years have flown by so fast.
