37 years ago today my Mother passes away she was 49 years old and had not been sick. That day changed my life and the life of my father and brother and 2 sisters. I know all children love their parents but I think there is a special bond between a mother and her son. I the first born. I dont think my mother had any favorites but I like all teen age boys had this on going battle to prove myself. That battle latter turned into a love I have never had since. When I left to go to the OFM she was by biggest supporter and assured me if I ever wanted to come home just pick up the phone. So I did and than when I was in Mortuary College she was very proud. Her son the undertaker. She did not live long enough to see what I have accomplished, or 3 other grandchildren. My daughter was just 1 years kid the say after her death. So she did get to see her first grandchild. Erin Ryan she would be so proud if you today. As a matter if fact she would be proud if all her grandchildren and now one great grandchild. So the good thing about our Catholic faith is the communion of saints which my mother and father are now a part of. I often seek her intercession for me and the rest of our family when in need. This day 37 years ago you were welcomed into paradise and the angles came to meet you. Know that we all miss you but I know you are I hope in heaven with the God who knew you before you were born. Pray for us as I continue to try and live my life in a manor that would still make you happy to call me Son !
