3rd night of Revival Subject was “Where is your faith?” the scripture came from March 4:35-40 “Jesus Calms the Storm/Storms of Life. That subject brings to mind a plaque that I display in my office which stated “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” At some point in everyone life we are going to go through a storm. You are either in a storm, headed for a storm or coming out of a storm. I know many of us wonder why me Lord; what did I do. When you get to that point you need to be still and wait. You have to remember that God is a healer and a way maker. Psalm 30:5–weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Life is filled with all kinds of issues; some we create for ourselves, some created by others and some which are completely beyond our control. Yes, we all can say “if it ain’t one thing, it’s another.” As painful as the test and trials of life may seem at times, our faith must be tested. Anyone can have faith when we are in our mountain top experiences, but the true test of faith is when we are in our midnight hour. Believe it or not, in the midst of your midnight test or trial, God was right there!!! If God was not there, you would not have been able to make it through to morning, because the enemy would have taken his best shot at your weakest moment to destroy you. BUT GOD-He gave you the strength to hold out because He (God) knew that joy was coming for you in the morning. YOU NEED TO TELL GOD THANK YOU RIGHT THERE. As we walk this walk of faith we are tested and tried with many different things but God tells us in His Word that these test and trials brings us to a better place, a place of increased faith and dependence on God. It is in times of pain and despair that we realize that God is our only help and hope. It is God that we should look to and not man. It is God who is there to comfort our hearts in the midnight hours, it is OUR God who strengthens and encourages us in the dark valleys of life.
