Don’t baulk at the expense, there is no amount of money worth a positive birth experience. (Remind me to tell you about the price you pay for not having one – hint: you pay it back in postpartum depression.) Our doula really helped us figure out what we needed to do. She helped us ensure we were prepared and helped my wife be realistic in a way I never could. This was so important.
