40 Middleton / Wainoni - detouring Saturday night for Crusaders qualifying final. Due to the Crusaders match on Saturday 20 July Whiteleigh Ave will be closed in both directions between 9pm and 9.45pm and some buses will be detouring. The bus departing Central Station at 9.12pm will not travel to Tower Junction & Whiteleigh Ave but instead will travel from Hagley Ave straight down Lincoln Rd onto Wrights Rd to continue the normal route. Those wishing to use this service can hop on at stop 43456 on Lincoln Rd directly outside the Z Station. The bus departing Church Corner at 8.54pm and 9.24pm will detour away from Whiteleigh Ave and Tower Junction by continuing down Wrights Rd onto Lincoln Rd and straight onto Hagley Ave. Those wishing to use this bus can hop on at bus stop 12551 at the corner of Lincoln Rd and Parade Court (opposite the Z Station on Lincoln Rd).
