41 Years ago today, was the best day of my life, even though I didnt know it at the time. :) I was placed into John and Sue Griffins home as their foster child. Upon this placement, I inherited the most wonderful sisters imaginable, much later came 6 fabulous nieces and nephews. Since I was not expected to live past 2 years, adoption at that time was not an option. I was a ward of the state, but living and thriving in a wonderful home. 10 months later, John and Sue Griffin petitioned the courts of Caddo Parish for a legal adoption. That adoption went through in August of 1973, the first of its kind, according to our records. I am so thankful to an amazing God who watched over me, saved me, and provided for me in every way, including a family. I know that ALL our blessings flow through Him. November is National Adoption Month. I am sure there are some who are considering adoption. I am a testimony of what a loving family can do for a child. If God has put in your heart to adopt, consider it, and place all your cares on Him. If it is His will, He will provide you with all you need. With Karen Griffin Thomas and Kris Griffin Taylor.
