#4405 Today while searching through the documents I found that I lost my Oracle certificate. Being a very essential document during these crucial days (as my exams are over and placements are to be held), I rushed to my institute and enquired about the duplication. I was told that I had to bring a copy of police FIR. As I had never been to police station before I asked my friends to accompany me but none of them agreed. So I had to go all alone. My parents way back at Namrup were tensed and told me to talk to one or the other uncle but I consoled them saying, dont worry they wont put me in a lockup without any reason. Frankly speaking I was a bit nervous at first (as many of us know about their reputation). But after reaching Noonmati police station I was surprised. None of the policemen were rude, rather they were polite and helped me a lot, due to which my FIR was completed within half an hour and I submitted the copy today itself. The tasks which I kept pending for tomorrow were completed today. I had to pay a sum of only rs 50 but I still dont know if it was a formal charge. On my way back home I was just thinking why people blame the whole department due to some cheap officers. Todays incident taught me two things : 1. When you are in a problem never think anyones gonna help u(even if u hlpd them in their crucial times). Still you should have faith in: a. Your parents b. The one u see when u stand in front of a mirror (i.e yourself) 2. Not everyone is so bad as rumours make them. As we dont judge a book by its cover, similarly we should never judge a people based on rumours M/21
