45 years ago, I lived in a camp like this, also in downtown Vancouver, for a couple of weeks. I rode the freight trains out from Ontario, along with all the rest of the teenagers that were looking for adventure. The main difference was that we had no tents. Just pieces of plastic from a construction site, and we were down at Coal Harbour, on the water front. About 50% of the people in the camp were draft dodgers from the Viet Nam, era. Wow, does this ever bring back memories.
