48 Days Until the Election! Our county faces too many challenges to even consider a sheriffs candidate who has been out of law enforcement for nearly a decade. In regard to Porter Countys drug problem, my opponent says the one thing that he wont do is do nothing. That is a very careless and out of touch statement. I disagree with my opponent that our judges, prosecutor, police chiefs, teachers, city and town administrators, parents, substance abuse professionals, police officers and many other individuals and organizations do nothing to address our countys drug problem. I disagree with my opponent that organizations such as Empower Porter County and the Porter County Substance Abuse Council do nothing relating to drug use in our county. Our Porter County Drug Task Force has doubled its manpower. Local law enforcement works hand in hand with federal law enforcement agencies and those relationships are stronger than ever before. The sheriff should be the lead law enforcement official of the county. Sixteen years with no leadership is long enough. As your next sheriff I will lead this county. We will continue to aggressively combat the drug epidemic in our county. I will provide our officers on the front lines with current training along with state of the art equipment for arresting drug dealers and drug users who commit crimes. It is time for Porter County to have a strong leader as their Sheriff! We need your vote in 48 days!
