We often complain about power cuts and there are thousands of them in Assam itself who have not yet recieved power connections to their homes yet. Reason: shortage of electricity. The power generation unit the one located at Maibella, Sivasagar is not able to produce to its proposed capacity because the gas ONGC should be supplying is not enough. So there is a desperate need of commercial solar establishment here in the 7 sisters just like gujarat. Now people might tell us the region is not feasible but we totally disagree with that. We (Solar-the technology next group) is working on a new modified solar setup which can make it happen for rainy state like us. All we need is the support of the people of Assam and the rest of NE for our page, so that we can convince the state govt. that we have a strong support from the people around. Male
