4TH NOVEMBER,2013. MORNING DEVOTION. EXPECT BIG SURPRISES! TODAYS SCRIPTURE.They let them down and caught such a large number of fish that the nets were about to break.(Luke 5:6 GNB) Many people are depressed and discouraged because they only focus on their current circumstances. They constantly dwell on their problems and habitually think about what they lack and those things that are wrong with them. They do not realize that by so doing they are allowing the enemy steal their hope. In our opening scripture, Peter did as the master said. He refused to dwell on his ugly experience. Being negative keeps people from moving forward in life. You must understand that faith is confidence, an assurance that expects big surprises regarding things we hope for according to Gods promises. Like an arrow, your faith points to the target of hope( big expectations). If you do not have hope, that arrow of faith will drop to the ground without accomplishing anything;but if you have big expectations,as you keep expecting and believing, that target gets larger and becomes easier to hit! Decide henceforth to live with an attitude of expectancy. Get your hopes up! Start by discarding negative thoughts you may have had in the past. As you focus on God’s goodness and faithfulness, you will feel the expectation inside you growing. Give your faith a target and move confidently into the blessings and peace the Lord has in store for you! God has a purpose for every season of your life;the lonely seasons, the sad seasons, the seasons of success, the seasons of waiting and the seasons of grief. Romans 8:28 says, We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (NIV). This is not a promise for everyone. All things do not work together for good for everybody in the world. They only work together for good to those who love God and trust him with their plans. Like Peter you will have abundant net breaking surprises this month and beyond;for this is your season of divine surprises. Todays Prayer. I receive a large number of divine surprises that will make my nets break in Jesus Name. Amen. shaunz..#ceononi2013
