5:30am this morning I found one of my dogs near lifeless in the hall. Shes at the clinic and they discovered she has a tumor bleeding into her belly. Since she is 14 the options are more complicated. Anyone have experiences regarding tumo surgery in older dogs that they would like to share? Current bleed has stopped but the tumor tissue (spleen) is fragile and may lead to future bleeds. Wonderful vet was very kind but said that surgery may lead to cancer cells invading other organs. :(
