5:54pm Amanda Hoh (SMH): The hot northerly winds and temperatures in the Blue Mountains expected to ease around midnight when a southerly bluster blows in from the coast, said Weatherzone meteorologist Ben McBurney. It’s going to be quite warm into the evening until that cooler change overnight which will lead to significant cooling, he said. As the sun drops in the next hour we might see a drop in temperature to about 37, 38 degrees. On Saturday, winds in the Blue Mountains will be lighter while 5-10mm of rain expected in the evening will be very useful for any fires going in the region, Mr McBurney said.
