5/9/2014. ॐ श्रीपरमात्मने नमः । Individual always seeks refuse in the larger belief of society. This is psychological fact. We must try to understand the secret behind this, which can help facilitate the liberation. The psychological secret is, individual always seeks to shun responsibility, and in the case of failure, he wants some peg, on which he can break his cooking pot. There are two types of vows. One is prevalent in society since long, without any known source of origination. In the most cases they are always vogue, uncertain, and unauthenticated. Nobody knows who made those statements. Nobody knows whether it has backing of Shastra or not, it has never been tested whether it holds truth or not. Its long prevalence in society itself is regarded as a Shastra Vachan, and as such statements are convenient to mass people, all try to be testimony, protector and upholders of these statements. If you go into details, you find that they have no roots in the Shastra and they have deliberately been incorporated by the vested interests. One such prevalent ignorance is you are a body and you are subject to death. The other is the realization of God is subject to your bodily efforts. The next such wrong notion is liberation is such a hard phenomenon that it is almost impossible for a common man. The next such dogma prevalent is Bhakta is not wishing Moksha, but requests God for thousands of birth after birth. The next such misbelieve is you have to attain knowledge, and that knowledge can only help you attain liberation. These are just vogue, uncertain and unauthenticated statements; they don’t have backing from Vedas, Gita or Upanishads. Can you see or make out any centre theme hidden in these five statements? The centre theme is, a deliberate effort is made to inculcate in the mind of inmate, that he or she can only achieve the goal, with the help of some outside agency. He or she is handicap, and will be requiring crutches to cross the way. If you see all the five statements, you will find that indirectly some sort of rituals is made necessary to attain the goal. It also seems that shrewdly arrangement is ascertained that the seeker shall have to regularly visit the abode of some or other religious leader or religious place to donate and permanent source of income is ascertained by them, that too in the name of helping the distressed and forlorn helpless devotee. The interesting thing involved is, efforts are not signifying that they are to take care of devotee, but they signify that a care is taken to assure the permanent source of income for the persons who were at the helm of affairs centuries back. The followers today may not know the fact behind these believes, and out of reverence for their masters they never have put these beliefs to test. They in fact believe that these are Shastra Vachans, and not following them leads to hell. The strategists made two tier arrangements: carrot and stick incentives. They assured heaven to those who follow these statements without questioning and hell for those who are non followers. This is manifestation of pseudo religious practice, which has in fact harmed and impaired the spiritual development of devotees, instead of facilitating them for the same. It is right time to awake and put to test the statements. Vivekanand said, “If Vedas say that fire is cool, I shall not believe”. One must not believe anything just for the fact that it has long history. The Gopalaks of Vrindavan were worshiping Indra, but Krishna could see futility of Indra Puja and abandoned it and invented Govardhan Puja instantly. Same way everybody must put the beliefs to tests, and if after that one is rationally convinced that he has all reasons to uphold the dogmas, and then he is free to practise them. The other vow is individual. We may take up one by one statement from tomorrow. हरिः ॐ तत् सत् ।
